Workweek Outlook: Midweek cooldown and more snow?

Precipitation this past month has been much less than usual, and the lack of rain has led to a slower melt of our winter snow load

March comes to an end this week with slightly cooler-than-normal temperatures. Up to this point, March temperatures were close to the 30-year average. However, precipitation this past month has been much less than usual, and the lack of rain has led to a slower melt of our winter snow load.

Monday will be mostly sunny with a weak north wind and afternoon temperatures near +4°C. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, with the chance of a midday flurry and daytime highs near +2°C.

A light dusting of snow arrives early Wednesday morning, with some clearing in the afternoon. Temperatures fall below the freezing mark with strong northwest winds.

We should see sunshine on Thursday, but a cool start to the day will mean daytime highs will only reach a couple of degrees above freezing.

Friday will likely start with snow that could transition to rain later in the day as temperatures climb to near +5°C. However, we could see more snow than rain if temperatures don't rise fast enough.

Colder air rushes back in for this coming weekend.
