Fall officially started at 3:50 am this morning to begin a 6-month run of nights that are longer than our days. The Sault region typically experiences daytime highs near 16°C and overnight lows near 6°C for the first week of fall, and we'll be close to that for the week ahead. Along with the seasonal temperatures, we are likely to see rain a few times, and gusty northwest winds for several days.

Rain on Monday morning will taper off to showers that end in the afternoon. Some sunshine should break through the clouds in the evening as the wet weather comes to an end. A cool northwest wind along with the damp weather will help keep temperatures near 16°C.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a few afternoon clouds as daytime highs max out near 21°C.

Rain and storms arrive Wednesday morning with mostly cloudy skies in the afternoon as temperatures climb into the upper teens.  Northwest winds build through the day.

Thursday should bring a mix of sun and cloud, but cool northwest winds return to keep daytime highs near 14°C.

Wet weather returns on Friday with rain that could be heavier later in the day.  Temperatures will be stuck at 15°C with gust southerly winds.
