May will go into the weather archives as being slightly colder and drier than normal. The interesting side note on that entry is that we broke daytime high records a couple of times, and over half of May's precipitation came in one day.

As we head into the start of June, the outlook for the entire month shows near seasonal temperatures and precipitation. The week ahead will likely be a snapshot into what we can expect for most of this coming month - temperatures bouncing around the 20°C mark and light rain every few days.

We will wake up to sunshine on Monday with skies gradually clouding over during the day. Rain with the risk of thunder will move into the region by sunset and then end overnight. Daytime highs should hit 22°C with a southwesterly breeze all day.

Tuesday will start cloudy, but then skies should partially clear in the afternoon. Daytime highs should reach 22°C again with gusty northwest winds in the afternoon.

Wednesday should be mostly sunny, but the coldest day of the workweek as that persistent northwest wind keeps daytime highs near 18°C.

Thursday and Friday should both see mainly sunny skies with daytime highs near 23°C. There is the risk of a shower late Thursday night into early Friday morning.

The current long-range forecast for the upcoming weekend shows a little less sun and temperatures cooling into the teens.
