Olivia Halliday, an 8-year-old student in Grade 3 at St. Paul Elementary School, won first place today at the Legion City-wide Public Speaking Contest.
She will be representing Sault Ste. Marie next weekend in Elliot Lake at the Regional Competition.
Her oral presentation was about teenagers.
