For the second year in a row, a track by homeboy psych-rockers Memory Bank has been chosen for the season premiere of Fox TV's popular espionage drama '24' with Kiefer Sutherland.

"Lightning strikes twice," Saultite Craig Browne tells SooToday.com.

"They informed us a few days ago that they wanted to use some more music for the show," says Browne, one of three former Sooeys who make up Memory Bank.

The others are Ryan Gassi and Frank Guidoccio.

The 2003 season premiere airs at 9 p.m. tonight and Browne tells us that Memory Bank has licensed the 'Horse Drawn' track from its debut album 'Winter Kept Us Warm' for performance as background music.

For last year's season premiere, the show's producers used 'Sirens' from the same CD.

A film about editing film

Browne also tells us that Memory Bank has recently licensed some of its music to a film.

"It's for Alex Shuper's 'Edge Codes' (www.edgecodes.com), a documentary about the art of editing.

"They interviewed Lucas, the person who edited Apocalypse Now, etc. It's going to be airing in Amsterdam at the end of November. They're using 'On the Vent.' We also recorded three tracks for the film."
