Education Week started today for students in the Huron-Superior Catholic District School Board.

SooToday.com travelled to some of the board's elementary schools to catch some of the action.

At St. Theresa School (shown), the gymnasium was filled with youngsters listening to their Grade 7 and 8 counterparts making presentations about their favourite authors.

In the above link; Maria Nanni, Jessica Anelli and Jessica Elwgren are shown wearing Curious George skit costumes. Maria's the monkey, by the way.

Jimmy Davies yelled "take my picture" while jumping rope with his Grade 2 class at St. Patrick School. Jimmy was taking part in an event called Fully Alive with Fitness and Outreach. in which every class at St. Patrick took turns jumping rope and wiggling through hoops in the gymnasium.

Over at St. Pius X, a book fair was taking place.

And just before school was out, Sister Mary Clare School was working on a Risk Watch safety book, with Mrs. DeAmorim's class clamouring to show off its art work.

Education Week activities continue at both Catholic and public schools until Friday.
