************************** Shortly before 9 p.m. last night an incident occurred on Second Line West near Farwell Terrace that could have had more serious consequences.

A transport driver was operating his vehicle on Second Line West, with his window rolled down, when he was struck in the face with an object that was thrown at his vehicle.

The truck driver immediately stopped his vehicle as he was taken back with what happened.

This resulted in the load of wood he had in his trailer shifting and slamming into the front of the trailer causing extensive damage to the trailer.

The driver received a scrape on his cheek area very close to his eye.

The driver did not see who threw the object but five or six kids were observed running from the area of the creek as soon as he slammed on his brakes.
