You might call George Murray, 44, of 793 Queen Street East a timeless kind of guy.

George had a bunch of watches when he left the Station Mall Zellers yesterday, but they belonged to the store and he apparently hadn't paid for them and got stopped by security outside.

Murray got himself arrested for shoplifting and was taken back into mall's security office, where he's said to have punched a security guard.

After he was physically restrained by staff, Murray is said to have threatened the assault victim.

Murray, now deprived of his watches, is accused of assault, threatening and theft.

Over at the Sault Ste. Marie Court House, they'll be looking for a timely appearance from him at 9 a.m. sharp on December 22.

The mall security staffer took a licking but keeps on ticking.
