************************ Yesterday afternoon around 4 p.m. City Police received call to attend in the area of Spruce Street regarding persons drinking in a car.

When officers checked the car they found Kenneth McAllister, age 46, of 15 Clergue St. sitting behind the wheel.

The car keys were in the ignition and there was an open case of beer in the back seat.

Mr. McAllister was also showing obvious signs of impairment.

Mr. McAllister was on a probation order with the terms to keep the peace and be good.

Mr. McAllister was taken into custody and charged with one count of impaired driving, one count of fail to provide a breath sample and one count of breach of probation.

He will appear in bail court today.

In relation to the same call with Mr. McAllister his passenger in the car, who had also been consuming alcohol, was also arrested.

Cora McFadden, age 44, of 70 Spruce Street was on a probation order with the terms not to consume alcohol and to keep the peace and be good.

She was subsequently charged with 2 counts of breach of probation and she will also be appearing in bail court this morning.
