WestJet adds new flights to Montreal, other destinations

Nine days after announcing discontinuation of its low-cost flights to Sault Ste. Marie effective September 9, WestJet today announced it's laying on additional summer flights to more popular destinations.

The following is the full text of WestJet's announcement:

**************************************************************** WestJet announces summer schedule enhancements

CALGARY, ALBERTA--WestJet today announced schedule enhancements for Montreal, as well as seasonal additions for popular summer WestJet destinations.

Effective June 7, 2003, WestJet will add the following non-stop frequencies:

- Two additional flights per week between Calgary and Montreal

Effective June 15, 2003, WestJet will add the following non-stop frequencies:

- Ten additional flights per week between Calgary and Victoria - Four additional flights per week between Edmonton and Victoria - Three additional flights per week between Calgary and Kelowna - Two additional flights per week between Hamilton and Halifax - Two additional flights per week between Calgary and Vancouver

Effective June 27, 2003, WestJet will add the following non-stop frequencies:

- Five additional flights per week between Edmonton and Victoria - Five additional flights per week between Calgary and Victoria

In addition to the above summer enhancements, WestJet will also commence the previously announced next step in their Montreal service on July 21, 2003, with 14 weekly flights to Vancouver, plus 36 weekly flights to Hamilton.

The new Montreal service will provide convenient links to the entire WestJet network.

WestJet is currently accepting bookings for travel on all the routes in its enhanced summer schedule.

Our enhanced seasonal schedule to WestJet's most popular summer destinations, at typical WestJet prices, gives Canadians even more choice for low-fare summer adventure."

WestJet serves the 26 Canadian cities of Victoria, Comox, Vancouver, Abbotsford/Fraser Valley, Prince George, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, Saskatoon, Regina, Winnipeg, Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, Windsor, London, Hamilton, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Moncton, Halifax, St. John's (beginning June 16) and Gander (beginning June 17).
