Wellington Street to close between John Street and Carmen’s Way

The City’s Public Works and Engineering Services Department would like to inform motorists that Wellington Street between John Street and Carmen’s Way will be closed to throughway traffic beginning at 7 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13 and reopening at 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14.

The closure is necessary to facilitate a Union Gas relocation associated with the City’s reconstruction work.

Motorists are urged to be cautious and obey all detour signage in the area during this time.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie thanks its citizens for their patience and understanding during this road closure period.
