Weekend Outlook: Winter to summer in just 10 days

Enjoy some heat early this weekend and then the risk of an isolated thundershower on Sunday

It's hard to imagine that ten days ago, we had a trace of snow with temperatures near freezing. Fast forward to this weekend, where temperatures will flirt with the 30°C mark under sunny skies. I talked to many folks that watched the calendar during the cold weather and said, "This year, we'll go straight from winter into summer at this rate."

Considering the quick transition into summer-like conditions this week and this weekend, I think it's fair to say those folks were right. Spring sure seemed pretty short. Enjoy some heat early this weekend and then the risk of an isolated thundershower on Sunday.

On Friday, we should see daytime highs hit 27°C, which is almost ten degrees above normal for late May and within a couple of degrees of the record high temperature for this date.

Sunshine continues for Saturday after a few morning clouds. Temperatures should reach 26°C before clouds move in after sunset, with the risk of a shower overnight.

The chance of showers and possibly and thunderstorm arrive for Sunday to cool temperatures down to the lows 20s.
