Weekend Outlook: September wrap up

Every single day of this month was at or above normal temperatures

As September comes to a close, it should be no surprise that this past month has been much warmer than normal and much wetter than normal.

Every single day of this previous month was at or above normal temperatures, resulting in an average of 3 degrees above normal over the whole month.

September is typically the wettest month of the year for the Sault region and did not disappoint. With 166mm this month, the amount of rain eclipses averages of 102mm in a typical September.

The beginning of October looks to continue the warm and wet trend as a cold-core low-pressure system moves in from lower Michigan this weekend.

This will bring clouds and showers on and off through the weekend with temperatures in the low teens; which is still above normal early October temperatures in the low teens.

The sunshine and warm weather return for the start of next week.

The next chance for cooler, more fall-like weather looks to arrive for the Thanksgiving Weekend.
