Fall officially arrives at 9:54 p.m. Saturday night, and we begin to see more hours of darkness each day than we will of daylight. Gusty winds early in the weekend will usher in colder than normal temperatures for the first full day of fall on Sunday. Not only will Fall-like weather move in this weekend but will linger into the week ahead. Good-bye summer of 2018 - your hot, dry conditions will be missed in the months ahead.

A few thunderstorms are possible Friday morning with lingering showers into the afternoon. There may be some partial clearing later in the day. Temperatures will be warmest in the morning, near 21°C, and then begin to fall in the afternoon as strong westerly winds move into the region.

Frost is likely Saturday morning as temperatures fall to near the freezing mark. We will see increasing sunshine through the day with daytime highs climbing to near 17°C. Winds will be out of the southwest.

Partly cloudy skies for Sunday with a cool east wind will keep temperatures near 12°C. This is well below normal for the first full day of Fall.

Early next week will bring warmer air, but more rain moves in overnight Monday into Tuesday.
