Weekend Outlook: Back to some snow and cold

The weather this weekend will remind us that winter isn’t quite done yet

This is the final weekend of winter as the official start to spring arrives next week. The weather this weekend will also remind us that winter isn’t quite done yet as cold air floods back into the region. This will freeze up all the standing water from this past week’s thaw and open up the door for a little more snow. It does appear that the thaw resumes some time next week, as spring arrives,

On Friday morning we may see some rain but cooler air pushes into the region to change rain over to snow by noon. Temperatures will be near +1°C in the morning and then fall quickly through the day.

Saturday morning will be mostly cloudy with flurries and then partly cloudy skies arrive in the afternoon Daytime highs will benear -6°C and gusty northwest winds will bring windchill values in the minus teens.

Sunday will be partly cloudy with the chance of some morning flurries and temperatures near -1°C.

Next week looks to continue the sunshine with a warming trend arriving on Tuesday.
