For ten days straight the Sault region has experienced colder than normal temperatures. Mid-December daytime highs are typically near -2C, but we will likely see values cooler than that for this coming weekend  Relief is in sight by early next week, but this warmer weather may come at the cost of much more snow.

2-5cm of light snow will fall on Friday with daytime highs near -5C. A cold front will cross the region in the afternoon to usher in gusty northwest winds and rapidly falling temperatures in the evening and overnight.

Saturday will start out cold with morning lows in the minus twenties. Sunny skies should be around for most of the day, but it won't push temperatures any higher than the minus teens.

Sunday will be a little warmer with clouds and another dusting of light snow in the evening.
