Statement by Bryan Hayes, Member of Parliament for Sault Ste. Marie, congratulating Mac Marcoux and his guide Robin Fémy on winning three medals at the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games

SAULT STE. MARIE - On behalf of the Government of Canada, I would like to extend my most heartfelt congratulations to Mac Marcoux and his guide Robin Fémy on winning two bronze medals in both the men’s alpine skiing (visually impaired) and in the men’s visually-impaired Super-G event, and a gold medal in giant slalom, at the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.

Mac’s bronze in the alpine event was the first medal for Team Canada in this year’s Paralympic Games!

Following Mac's performance which led him to the top of the Paralympic podium, Saultites and Canadians across the country are filled with pride and admiration at his incredible talent, drive and strength and we celebrate this prestigious moment in his sport career.

Mac Marcoux’s outstanding performance serves as an international reminder that Canada is a top sport nation.
