WATCH: 'This is who I am,' says aspiring politician Naomi Sayers

On the latest episode of 'Inside the Village' podcast, Sayers talks about the Liberals' decision to reject her nomination as the party's local candidate; 'They wasted my time'

Rejected as the Liberal nominee for the riding of Sault Ste. Marie, Naomi Sayers is now running as an independent candidate in the provincial election.

A prominent Indigenous lawyer, Sayers has never hid the fact that she worked as an escort and exotic dancer before pursuing a career in the courtroom. Called to the bar in both Alberta and Ontario, she is now a respected litigator and human rights advocate who tries to use her "personal story to create and influence change."

On the latest episode of Inside the Village, a news podcast produced by Village Media, Sayers talks about her campaign for Queen's Park—and how the Liberal Party "wasted" her time during the nomination debacle.
