NEWS RELEASE

HURON CENTRAL RAILWAY

*************************
On August 25 and 26, 25 motor cars will be travelling on Huron Central Railway track, going from Sault Ste. Marie to Espanola and return, for a total of 240 miles.

This excursion is organized by the North American Railcar Operators Associations (NARCOA), a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and safe, legal operation of railroad equipment historically used for maintenance of way, in cooperation with Huron Central Railway.

This is a highly organized trip, all the safety regulations will be respected and protected.

NARCOA counts over 1800 members. Motor cars from as far as California, Illinois and New York and also from the provinces of Québec and Ontario will tread the HCRY track today and tomorrow.

Motor cars were mostly used throughout the 1950s and 1960s, before being slowly replaced by new technologies. They are now typically collected by hobbyists, who refurbish them for excursions.

For more information, I invite you to consult NARCOA website at http://narcoa.org/
