Vehicle fire causes 'extensive damage'

On Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018 shortly before 10 a.m., Sault Ste. Marie Fire Service crews responded to a vehicle fire in the area of Second Line West and Town Line.

The initial report was a single vehicle on fire and there was potential of propane tanks on board. Upon arrival, there were visible flames and heavy black smoke. Fire crews were able to extinguish and contain the fire. There was no threat of propane tanks being involved.

It was determined that the vehicle was inside Prince Township and the Prince Township Fire Department responded as well. The scene was turned over to Prince Fire and the O.P.P for cause and determination.

There is extensive damage to the interior and exterior of the vehicle.

There are no injuries to report.
