A COVID-19 vaccination clinic has been announced for this coming Wednesday at the Sault Ste. Marie Indian Friendship Centre located at 122 East Street.

Hosted by Maamwesying North Shore Community Health Services, the clinic is open to Indigenous (First Nation, Metis, Inuit) adults aged 18 and over from Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding area, a release issued today states.

This clinic is also open to the general population and those eligible to receive their second dose.

Appointments may be booked by calling 705-542-5382 starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

"If we do not respond, please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible," the release states.

The clinic, which will administer the Moderna vaccine, is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. until approximately 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, Vaccine Clinic Coordinator Janice Doiron told SooToday.

The number of bookings received by phone Tuesday will determine the number of doses allotted for the Wednesday clinic, Doiron said.
