Flooded roads

MACDONALD-MEREDITH-ABERDEEN ADDITIONAL TOWNSHIP, ON - The Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) issue a warning to motorists in Macdonald-Meredith-Aberdeen Additional Township and Laird Township regarding the hazards of driving on flooded roads.

The Sault Ste. Marie and area has seen a large amount of precipitation recently and as a result, several of our local roadways are covered in water. Some of the roads covered in water have become impassable. If this is the case, turn around and find an alternate route as you may not know the depth of the water nor the road conditions underneath it.

The OPP warn motorists to use extreme caution if the roadway is open as the conditions of the road could change at any time due unknown damage the water may have caused.

For updated information on the roadways, please contact your located municipalities
