Two Persons Charged in Relation to Narcotics

On the 2nd of May just before 6 p.m. officers from the Blind River Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police assisted members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Drug Enforcement Unit and the Crime Suppression Unit with stopping a vehicle in the Blind River Area.

A search was conducted of the vehicle which resulted in the seizure of a quantity of narcotics. 

Officers located 92 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 29 fentanyl patches and a small quantity of marihuana.  The estimated street value of the narcotics is $21,000.00

33-year-old Sara Marie Brock of Albion Street, Sault Ste. Marie, and 21-year-old Dustin Goulet of Landslide Road, Sault Ste. Marie, were each charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a narcotic and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Both accused appeared in bail court today.
