Two new partners join Wishart Law firm

Two familiar faces are joining Sault Ste. Marie's Wishart Law Firm LLP as partners, the firm announced today in a news release. 

Paul Cassan and Steven Shoemaker, both whom work at Wishart, are joining as new partners, working alongside Managing Partner Orlando Rosa and Senior Partner Gord Acton.

Cassan was called to the bar in 1997 and primarily practices in the areas of Municipal Law and Labour and Employment law. 

Shoemaker was called to the bar in New York state in 2006 and was admitted to the bar in Ontario in 2010. He practices primarily in commercial law and litigation matters, including corporate and commercial transactions for the purchase and sale of businesses, insurance litigation and labour relations hearings and arbitration matters.

Paul Cassan was called to the bar in 1997 and has been with Wishart Law for 23 years. He primarily practices in the areas of Municipal Law and Labour and Employment law. Paul represents employers in Sault Ste Marie and Northern Ontario in arbitration and court proceedings. He is well versed in all aspects of employment law including conducting workplace investigations.  Paul also provides advice to many Municipal Councils throughout the province providing advice and training on an array of municipal issues.  

Steven Shoemaker was called to the bar in New York state in 2006 and was admitted to the bar in Ontario in 2010. He has been with Wishart Law for 11 years.  Steven practices primarily in commercial law and litigation matters, including corporate and commercial transactions for the purchase and sale of businesses, insurance litigation and labour relations hearings and arbitration matters.  

The admission of Paul and Steve as partners is exciting.
