He's a former theology student who hangs with cool people like WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus, three-time winner of the Internet Babe of the Year Award.

Today, Frank Klees is coming to Sault Ste. Marie to announce his bid to become leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Party.

As Ontario's Minister of Tourism and Recreation under then-premier Ernie Eves, Klees created a new Northern Ontario tourism marketing agency headquartered in Sault Ste. Marie.

He was Minister of Transportation until the Tories got steamrollered by the Dalton McGuinty Liberals in the last provincial election.

Klees will be at the Best Western at 229 Great Northern Road at 3 p.m. for a campaign launch emceed by Terry McCutcheon, the PC candidate for Algoma-Manitoulin in last year's election.

He's making a whirlwind tour of the province today to make similar announcements in Kingsville, Toronto, Ottawa and Richmond Hill.
