Searchmont fundraising event featuring Treble Charger
SEARCHMONT - S.S.A.I (Searchmont Ski Association Inc.) is hosting a fundraising event to officially kick off its capital fundraising campaign.
The event will take place on Friday, January 11, 2013 at The Pavilion (Algoma's Water Tower Inn and Suites).
Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased at Searchmont Ski Resort, Duke of Windsor Sport Shop.
The night will feature lots of prizes, cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner and wine at 7 p.m. followed by a performance by the Trippie Hippies and special musical guests Treble Charger.
Treble Charger membership consists of three hometown (Sault Ste. Marie) heroes who have made a lasting mark on the Canadian music industry.
Greg Nori (Vocals, Guitar, Keyboard), Bill Priddle (Guitar, Vocals) and Rosie Martin (Bass, Keyboard) formed the band after meeting in high school in Sault Ste. Marie.
Since forming, the band has become an international success and a household name for Canadian music.
Proceeds from the event will enhance the not-for-profit's snowmaking and grooming with the goal of improving conditions, reducing operating costs and extending the ski area's season.
Come out with family and friends and celebrate Searchmont, skiing, snowboarding, and great community spirit.
Every dollar raised will leverage $3 from the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC).
