'Together' exhibition rolls into Sault Ste. Marie

The Together truck is driving change across Canada – and on July 13, 2017 it rolls into Sault Ste. Marie.

The award-winning Together: An exhibition on global development is an interactive, bilingual experience for all ages, highlighting Canadian contributions to positive change around the world. Visitors are invited to climb aboard and explore a custom-built truck with 1,000 square feet of exhibition space.

As part of Canada’s 150th celebrations, the Together exhibit will be touring across the country to showcase Canada’s leadership in promoting a more peaceful, prosperous, equal, and pluralist world for all.

The exhibition inspires visitors to explore lasting solutions to global development challenges through:

• Powerful photography, objects, film and audio that transport visitors around the world
• A quiz that enables visitors to discover what kind of global citizens they are and how to get involved
• An interactive world map that illuminates diverse Canadian contributions to global development
• Opportunities for visitors to share their ideas and experience with one another

The Together truck will be parked at Rotaryfest (Clergue Park, 619 Bay Street, Sault Ste. Marie, ON) from Thursday, July 13 until Saturday, July 15. It will be open to the public from 1 p.m. – 9 p.m. each day. Admission to the exhibition is free.

Together was developed by Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC), and features the work of 21 Canadian organizations working to reduce poverty around the world, including the Canadian Red Cross, Save the Children, and UNICEF.

The exhibition was developed with the financial support of Global Affairs Canada.
