Tianna Legacy gets vocal about bullying

Tianna Legacy celebrated Pink Shirt Day Wednesday as she debuted her second single, Standing Alone

Grade 7 Holy Family Catholic School student Tianna Legacy celebrated Pink Shirt Day Wednesday as she debuted her second single in front of an audience of her her peers.

To kick off the school’s anti-bullying campaign, Legacy performed Standing Alone, an original composition that encourages listeners to overcome their feelings of isolation.

“Today is anti-bullying day in our province,” she said following her performance. “I want to have a theme song that people listen to and think about stopping bullying.”

“Everybody should be comfortable with their own uniqueness, and everybody’s their own person.”

Joined by fellow music students from Case’s Music, she also showcased her 2015 single Who We Are which garnered national recognition from both the Family Channel and OWL Magazine.

Somewhat of a superstar in her school, Legacy’s performance was met with enthusiastic applause.
