The Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society found a new home for one of its largest and most vital fundraising events. The annual Cause For Paws dog walk will relocate from Kinsmen Park to the Roberta Bondar Pavilion for the 2017 event.

The 21st annual Cause For Paws takes place Saturday, Sept. 16 and will feature games, prizes, demonstrations, and special guests. Festivities kick off at 11 a.m. with walker registrations with the walk along the boardwalk commencing following opening remarks at noon.

Interested participants are encouraged to visit the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society website to download a Cause For Paws pledge form, or to begin collecting pledges online. The top individual pledge collector will take home a 42” LED HD television, and the team (of up to six people) that collects the largest pledge amount will enjoy a free evening of bowling and refreshments.

All animals participating in the walk must be leashed. Animal accompaniment is not required for humans to participate.
