The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 374 in Richards Landing on St. Joseph Island is holding its 47th Maple Syrup Festival from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  The day includes all you can eat pancakes, sausages and purr St. Joseph Island maple syrup. Cost per person is $9 for adults, seniors $8, and $5 for those aged 10 and under. Beverages, taxes and tips included. For more information, please call 705-246-2494.



Saturday Art Making: Learn art techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media taught by local artists and art educators. Hosted at the Art Gallery of Algoma, 50 East Street, from 10 a.m. to noon for ages 6 to 12 years. Session runs from March 22 to May 3. Call 705-949-0967 for details.



Saturday Art Club: Parents and children will work together to discover art in the studio and in the exhibition galleries. While exploring lots of art mediums, this class will provide opportunities for creative play and fun learning. Techniques for Teens at the Art Gallery of Algoma: Learn art techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media taught by local artists and art educators who bring their talent and experience to each class. Class runs from 1 to 3 p.m. and is for ages 12 and older. This session runs from March 23 to May 4. Cost: $70 AGA Family Members, $80 Non-members. Please call 705-949-9067 for more information.
