The Doctor is in at Algoma U

Algoma University is pleased to announce that physician Dr. Sarah White has joined the University’s Health Services Department.

Dr. Sarah White grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and attended Algoma University and Laurentian University for her Bachelor of Science in Biology.

She attended the Northern Ontario School of Medicine for both Medical School and her Family Medicine Residency Training.

White is a family physician at Superior Family Health Team in Sault Ste. Marie and provides a full spectrum of health care, with special interests in women’s health, sexual health, mental health, and palliative care.

Beginning in September, White will hold a weekly on-campus clinic on Wednesdays from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., where she will provide non-urgent, limited-scope primary care services to students.

Her office can refer students for counselling.

White joins Kerri Dool and Kim Langevin, the University’s counsellor and dental hygienist, who also provide services in the Health Services Department.

The University’s Health Services Department is located in SH216.
