He's been with the Indianapolis Police Department for 28 years.

He has a knack for nabbing child molesters.

Sgt. Terry Hall is the cop who caught up with Michael Reahard (shown), the Indiana man who skipped bail and was found by the OPP at 8:20 last night walking down a Highway 552 in Goulais River.

Hall has trained police officers, prosecutors, even judges in his detection techniques.

He also conducts programs for both schoolchildren and parents, emphasizing "body safety" to his younger audiences and awareness and prevention to their parents.

At the close of his school presentations, students are handed a questionnaire that asks whether they wish to speak to anyone about the issues discussed.

Sunday's edition of the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette tells how one of Hall's presentations last fall resulted in a disclosure by an adolescent boy that led to the charges against Reahard.

The article makes no mention of Reahard's arrest, which appears to have escaped notice in today's online edition of the newspaper. although the news was the lead item on last night's 11 p.m. newscast on WANE-TV, Fort Wayne.

The WANE-TV coverage contained an interesting observation: it said Reahard was carrying extra clothing and food when he was picked up after walking most of yesterday. "When asked what he was doing in Canada, Reahard told police he'd rather not say," the television startion said. "Police believe he was planning on spending some time hiding out in Canada,"
