At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Community Living Algoma announced it's reached a tentative agreement with its employees, averting a strike that could have begun at midnight.
The following is an announcement made by CLA tonight:
***************************************************************** Today, Tuesday 22 April, Community Living Algoma and its employees, represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 1880 reached a tentative settlement in their negotiations with the assistance of a mediator from the Ministry of Labour.
Details of the settlement will be released upon ratification by the parties.
CUPE will complete its process by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday and the Board of Directors of CLA will meet Wednesday night for its ratification process.
