Teen sniper charged in pellet-gun shooting

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with assault with a weapon after a girl was struck by a pellet fired from a house yesterday. Sault Ste. Marie City police say the girl was eight years old. She was hit around 4:30 p.m.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with assault with a weapon after a girl was struck by a pellet fired from a house yesterday.

Sault Ste. Marie City police say the girl was eight years old.

She was hit around 4:30 p.m. yesterday after an air rifle was discharged from the residence.

The girl did not need hospital attention for her injury.

The teen will appear in court on April 27.
