Take Back the Night March is an international annual event where people of every nation step forward and protest the violence that occurs against women worldwide.

In Sault Ste. Marie ON, we have been marching since the mid 1980’s. The March encourages all people including victims to move forward providing hope and promise for survival. This is an occasion for woman to celebrate their strengths and courage, to channel their energy, commit to continue to work towards change and collectively shatter the silence of violence.

Each year, Take Back the Night event continues to increase in the number of participants as Sault Ste. Marie envisions a future where all persons can live without threat of violence.

The march symbolizes more than the goal of safe streets, but an end to violence – period.

Please join us at: Phoenix Rising Women’s Centre, 596 Wellington St. E.
