With many Canadians being diagnosed with dementia each year, the need to support people with dementia and their caregivers has never been greater. Dementia is more than just numbers. Friends, families and members of our communities all experience the personal and social impact of dementia. For our health-care system and economy this means higher demand for services and soaring costs.

IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s is a great opportunity for communities to rally against dementia and show their support for friends, families and neighbours who are impacted, as well as spark more conversation about a disease that is affecting an increasing number of people.

The indoor IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s takes place at White Pines Secondary School on Sunday, Jan. 27. Registration is at 12:00 p.m. and the walk starts at 1:00 p.m. It’s a fun day for the entire family with face painting, balloons, a clown, and refreshments.

To register and collect pledges for the local IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s, click here. Pledge forms are also available at the local office at 341 Trunk Road, The Shoe Fits! and the Family YMCA.
