OPP NEWS RELEASE
********************* Yesterday at about 5:30 p.m. an officer from the Sault OPP detachment was responding to a call east of the city.
The officer was in a marked cruiser at the intersection of Black Road and McNabb Street in Sault Ste. Marie.
As the officer was making a left turn off Black Road onto McNabb another vehicle cut across the lanes of traffic and turned in front on the cruiser cutting the officer off.
Of course the vehicle was pulled over and - the driver had been drinking.
A roadside breath test indicated that the driver was just under the legal limit.
A sixty-nine-year old Sault Ste. Marie man had his driver's licence suspended for the following 12 hours.
