Troy Chandler wants you to join in and walk for hydrocephalus.
On Saturday, June 1 at Clergue Park Boardwalk, Troy's Trail annual walk will take place. Registration opens at 12 p.m. and the walk will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Now in its 8th year, Troy's Trail brings Saultites together to raise awareness and funds for Hydrocephalus Canada. It also provides an opportunity for people affected by spina bifida and hydrocephalus to come together and share their experiences, support, encouragement, comfort, information and feedback.
So far, this event has raised more than $15,000 to support the programs and services provided by Hydrocephalus Canada to thousands of Canadians.
Diagnosed in 1994 at the age of 28, Chandler and his wife have made it their mission to 'create a supportive community here in Sault Ste. Marie for people with spina bifida and hydrocephalus.'
