Steelworkers Local 8748 endorse Michele McCleave-Kennedy

UNITED STEELWORKERS LOCAL 8748

On May 28, 2018 United Steelworkers Local 8748 in Sault Ste. Marie, put a motion forth at its regular monthly membership meetings held at 2 and 8 p.m., to endorse NDP candidate Michele McCleave-Kennedy in the June 7 election.

The motion unanimously passed at both meetings. Local 8748 is an amalgamated local with approximately 540 members from 13 units including nursing homes, retirement homes, legal, entertainment, manufacturing, lumber, building centres, industrial maintenance and security sectors.

The NDP will best represent our diverse membership and be the political voice for our community.
