StartUP Sault wants nominees for their Social Enterprise Superheroes Campaign

Eligible nominees must be Sault-based non-profit, charity or other social enterprise with a social mission, that make a positive local impact

StartUP Sault is looking for superheroes in the community.

It is launching its Social Enterprise Superheroes Campaign which aims to support and recognize the work that non-profits, charities and other social enterprises have done in the city.

Nominations can be made online and must be in by 4 p.m. on Dec. 15.

StartUP Sault Ste. Marie is excited to announce the launch of its Social Enterprise Superheroes Campaign to support and recognize local social enterprises that have been leaders in supporting our community.

StartUP Sault, in partnership with Startup Canada will present the most deserving social enterprise with a gift basket ($150 value) loaded with locally made goods, including:

  • Delicious Cornucopia gourmet popcorn
  • Beautiful Hearterra reusable paper towels and all-natural hand sanitizer
  • Decadent Afterglow Chocolate Co. treats
  • A set of white board markers from Stone’s Office Supply for all your great brainstorming sessions
  • An assortment of hot chocolates from Homespun Treasures

All the local treats were purchased at local, downtown stores during the recent Moonlight Magic event hosted by the Downtown Association.

In addition, the winner will receive a complimentary two-hour social media strategy session courtesy of Cavera Inc., to help them maximize their impact online.

We need the community’s help to nominate local Sault Ste. Marie non-profits, charities and social enterprises that have gone above and beyond during this pandemic.

The nominee with the most votes by 4:00 p.m. on Dec. 15 will be chosen as the winner. StartUP Sault will announce the winners on Dec. 17. In this campaign an eligible social enterprise is a Sault-based non-profit, charity or other social enterprise with a social mission, that is making a positive local impact through its operations.

“Our non-profits, charities, and other social enterprises have worked tirelessly to support our community through COVID-19. We want this Superheroes Campaign to give some recognition to our local Social Enterprise Superheroes by providing a platform to highlight their great work,” states Kathleen Heymans, StartUP Sault board member.
