At their next meeting on Monday, Sault Ste. Marie city councillors are expected to reduce speed limits on much of Black Road.

The changes follow recommendations from an environmental assessment done in connection with the Black Road/ Third Line corridor improvements, and also, complaints from this colourful guy.

The posted limit from McNabb to Second Line will be cut 10 km/h to 60 km/hr when the current reconstruction is complete.

Similarly, the new speed limit from Second Line to Third Line will be 50 km/hr.

Monday's City Council meeting will be livestreamed on SooToday starting at 4:30 p.m.
