A 200-pound bear with an attitude and an appetite has closed a small Wisconsin island in western Lake Superior.

Attempts to chase away the pesky animal on federally controlled Manitou Island haven’t worked so far.

Officials believe the bear causing current problems is the same one that forced a shut down of the island in August.

At that time, a fearless bear ate campers' supplies of Spam and chased a federal employee into an outhouse.

Manitou Island is part of the Apostle Islands managed by the U.S. National Park Service.
