After more than a year of experimenting, SooToday.com has added its first local video content.

It's all still very experimental, so the size and quality of our product may change over time, but we're looking forward to using video to supplement our text articles.

You can check out our first video clip, taken during yesterday's Labour Day festivities, by clicking here.

You'll need Windows Media Player, which is probably already installed on your computer.

At this stage, it won't work on a Macintosh computer. Sorry, Mac owners!

No, we're not planning on turning SooToday.com into a television station clone.

That's too costly and labour-intensive for our tastes, at least right now.

Initially, we'll be more Blair Witch Project (handheld cameras) than BBC (heavily edited with elaborate sound mixes, etc.)

But we think selective use of local video actualities will definitely add something to the mix here at SooToday.com and we look forward to finding innovative new uses for this emerging technology.
