As a part of SooToday's continuous effort to highlight the people, events, and initiatives here in Sault Ste. Marie, we are now introducing an exciting new partnership with Google, and an exclusive launch of Google Bulletin. Bulletin is a new publishing tool that will help you share the incredible stories that happen in our community every day.

Bulletin empowers anyone to capture and share stories to the web, right from their phone. It allows users to create their own news content, which is public and easy to discover. If you can text, if you can take a photo, if you can shoot a video on your phone: You can create a Bulletin story.

You choose the types of stories you would like to share: Anything from high school sports, to robotics competitions, to local expos, celebrations and political events can all be shared with a few clicks on your phone.

The SooToday team will be keeping an eye on Bulletin for our new Spot feature (which will shine a spotlight on hyper-local events and initiatives in our area), and we may share the content you are sharing on Bulletin as a story with our audience, if it’s something that would be of interest to our readers. This means your photos, video, or stories shared on Bulletin could also be featured on SooToday.

Bulletin is for people and organizations who have a story they want to share with the public community - beyond the people they know directly. Unlike (most) posts on social networks, Bulletin stories are public web pages and can appear anywhere a link to a web page can be shared (social networks, text, emails, embedded on websites, etc.) and may surface via Internet search. To reach people you know, simply share the link to your Bulletin story with your existing followers on any platform, via email, or text - and don’t forget to send them to us!

Bulletin is currently still in pilot and only available in two other cities in the world, so this is an exciting, exclusive chance to share events, stories and news happening in our community.

We are looking for people who are passionate about telling stories. If that’s you, click here to fill out a quick form to let us know a bit more about you, and we can get you on your way to sharing the news, events, and happenings around you.
