Each ticket gives you a chance to win a top prize of $70,000, a second prize of $10,000 and ten $1,000 cash prizes.

They went on sale this week at major ticket outlets and other locations throughout the city and district, and can also be ordered by credit card by calling 759-5530.

The Group Health Centre Trust Fund is launching it's 5th Annual "Big Wish" Lottery! (Lic. P040707).

Draw date – January 8th

Ticket price - $20, with cash prizes featuring a top prize of $70,000 in cash, one prize of $10,000 in cash and ten $1,000 cash prizes.

Our foundation "The Group Health Centre Trust Fund" was established in June 1979 in response to requests from patients and families.

Changes to funding of health care by the Ministry of Health necessitated acquiring additional funding for capital purchases (state-of-the-art medical equipment) and new or expanded health care programs.

Proceeds from this year’s lottery will go towards the purchase of one essential piece of medical equipment, a new ultrasound unit, which had been identified as a "top priority" on an equipment-needs list in 2003.

The trust fund has become an essential part of community health care through fundraising.

The community of Sault Ste. Marie and area has continued to support our holiday season $20-ticket lottery from the debut of our 1998 12 Wishes of Christmas lottery.

All those that support our lottery can derive satisfaction in knowing that they have helped patients and families of the Group Health Centre.

This year we have lowered the number of tickets printed to 12,000 and we are hoping that with over 50,000 individuals on the Group Health Centre’s patient list, that these 12,000 tickets can be sold out.
