Soccer fields deemed 'unplayable' due to wet conditions

The City of Sault Ste. Marie would like to advise residents that municipal outdoor soccer fields will remain closed until Monday, June 17, 2019.

Fields are unplayable due to extremely wet conditions. The soccer field closures include: Elliott Park Tom Tipton Field (108 Rossmore Road), Queen Elizabeth Park Sports Complex (280 Elizabeth Street) and Strathclair Park Sports Complex (639 Black Road).

The field closures are limited to soccer field. Slow-pitch fields are open for play tonight.

The City appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation.
