Skiers, snowshoers eat chocolate, raise money for ARCH (12 photos)

The sixth annual Chocolate Express fundraiser brought hundreds to Stokely Creek Lodge on Sunday in support of ARCH Hospice

Skiers and snowshoers of all ages headed to Stokely Creek Lodge on Sunday as part of this year’s Chocolate Express in support of ARCH Hospice.

Temperatures were pretty mild for the over 300 registrants who made their way through the hilly and snowy trails.

And not to be forgotten, plenty of chocolate treats, desserts, and hot chocolate were available at stations around the windy course.

ARCH Hospice executive director Nicole Pearce says the Chocolate Express fundraiser is the first one they’ve been able to host in two years, and she’s ecstatic to welcome the event back to Stokely.

“We’ve experienced a lot of events that have had to be cancelled,” she says. “This event is super important to us. We get to gather, be in person, and really make some memories. It’s a great fundraiser, and we really appreciate our community support.”

Organizers project the event will raise over $10,000 for ARCH.
