Demolition of the former Riverview mental health facility began Friday as site development plans move forward.

Located on the former Plummer Hospital property, the removal of the building will facilitate TVM Group's development of the site into Riverwalk Condominiums.

Planned amenities for the luxurious 40-unit residential development include yoga and fitness facilities, a theatre/media room, and a dining lounge.

TVM Group purchased the Plummer Hospital site from the Sault Area Hospital in 2013 and construction began last October.
