Minnesota State Police report a 25-year-old male from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, is dead following a single vehicle collision on Highway 14 west of Rochester, Minn.

Police say a 2013 Nissan Altima was westbound when it left the road at the beginning of a long, sweeping curve of the highway on Saturday morning.

"The vehicle entered the ditch, struck a utility pole, and flipped over," say police. "(It) came to rest on its roof in some tall weeds."

Responding to the collision, which occurred in the 4500 block of Highway 14 W in Cascade Township of Olmsted County, were the Olmsted County Sheriff's Office and Rochester Fire Department.

The name of the deceased will be released later today.
