As they do every year, the CAA held its Worst Roads campaign again this year and the results are finally out.

Broken down by region, Sault Ste. Marie made the list for Northern Ontario, despite not making the list in 2018.

Ranked third out of five worst roads is Bay Street in the Sault.

The list is compiled based on public voting, naming and shaming roads for anything from potholes and deteriorating pavement, to poor or non-existent cycling or walking infrastructure and poor road signs.

Northern Ontario's other four worst roads were all located in Sudbury, and include Regent Street, Lorne Street, Frood Road, and Kingsway

Eglinton Avenue East in Toronto was voted the worst road in Ontario.

CAA says the 16-year-old campaign has helped improve Ontario's worst roads by drawing attention to the bumpiest rides, encouraging municipalities to pay attention to those roads people vote for.
